Donkey leds procession around Chelmsford Cathedral

First published in News

HUNDREDS of worshippers were led round the grounds of Chelmsford Cathedral by a donkey called Sam last Sunday.

The nine-year-old who lives at the Riffhams Donkey Sanctuary in Little Baddow led 600 people around the building for a Palm Sunday procession.

The event celebrates the arrival of Jesus on the back of a donkey to Jerusalem just days before he was crucified and resurrected.
