INQUESTS looking into the deaths of two men killed in a tragic light aircraft crash have been opened.
On March 29 Andrew Sully, 50, from Writtle, and Simon Chamberlain, 29, from Harlow, died after the YAK 52 light aircraft they were flying in crashed into a field in Cooksmill Green.
Coroner Caroline Beasley-Murray heard during the brief hearing in Chelmsford on Friday morning initial post mortems on the pair said both died from multiple injuries.
She then adjourned the inquest until May 19 and requested full reports from police, post mortem examiners, toxicologists and the GPs of the deceased.
Findings from an investigation by the Air Accidents Investigation Branch will also be used as evidence.
