CHARITY members have handed over £3,000 worth of shampoo, combs and flannels to Broomfield Hospital patients.
The Friends at Broomfield Hospital group donated the toiletries for people being treated for dementia at the site.
Research was done by the team to find out which products were used most be existing patients before going out and purchasing the items.
The toiletries each come in their own bags for people to store them in.
Alison Douglas, chairman of the charity, said: "I think we can all understand that being admitted to hospital can be a frightening and confusing experience for people with dementia.
"By having some basic toiletries they will be able to feel more at ease and it will help them to retain their self esteem."
