MORE than 600 people attended a special event at a Chelmsford university campus to show what work is done there.
Anglia Ruskin hosted their Unifest day on Saturday which gave the chance for families to try out some of the classes done on site.
The main aim of the event was to inspire six to 16-year-olds by letting them participate in a number of activities such as building a roof and even surviving a zombie attack.
Becca Jackson, the university's outreach and recruitment officer, said: “It was great to see so many smiling faces and we were thrilled with the number of people who took the opportunity to see inside their local university.
”Hopefully this event will inspire some of them to consider university as an option and we may even see them here at Anglia Ruskin within a few years.”
