FUNDRAISERS have gathered £7,500 to pay for a specialist chair for patients at Broomfield Hospital.
The Friends at Broomfield Hospital group raised the cash for a videofluoroscopy chair which will allow help patients who have difficulty swallowing and requires an x-ray for diagnosis.
With the chair being adjustable and portable, it will allow staff to position patients in the best way possible depending on their condition for treatment.
Karen Blackmore, a speech and language therapist at the hospital, said: “We’d all like to thank the Friends for making it possible for us to purchase this chair, and greatly improve the service we can offer our patients.”
