A MAN has denied trying to kidnap a young boy.

Daniel Duke, 21, denied the charge when he made a brief appearance at Chelmsford Crown Court on Tuesday February 18.

Duke, of Mendip Place, Chelmsford, will return to court for his trial in June.

There was no application for bail and he was remanded in custody until then.

Duke is alleged to have tried to kidnap a boy aged 11 on December 9 last year.
