Weather  experts are warning of the possibility of more flooding as heavy rain and gales are forecast for the a further three days.

A severe weather warning is in place for today and tomorrow for heavy rain and high winds, with heavy downpours also forecast for Friday and Saturday.

A Met Office spokesman said: “Following repeated heavy rainfall events earlier in the week, the public should be aware of the potential for further flooding in places.”

The Essex Weather Centre also warned of the potential for travel and power lines disruption.
