Reece Topley
YOUNG Essex cricket star Reece Topley is hoping to be ready for the start of the 2014 county season after picking up a back injury.
The 6"7-tall left arm seam bowler sustained a lower back injury while out in Australia with the England Performance Programme squad last month.
This forced the 19-year-old out of the upcoming England Lions tour of Sri Lanka but the Eagles star is hoping to recover in time for the English domestic season's start.
Topley said: "I’m obviously disappointed to be injured but with the injury coming during the winter months it gives me enough time to prepare myself for the start of the season."
