A CLASSIC word guessing game will be the centre of attention at Essex Police headquarters on Saturday.
This is because the game hangman will be played at the Essex Police Museum based inside the building on Kingston Crescent.
Visitors will be able to make a 3D version of the game which is believed to date back to Victorian times when hangings were common place as a punishment for serious crime.
Organisers of the day believe through playing hangman, people can learn about who crime and punishment has evolved.
Museum curator Becky Wash said: “It is important that children can learn about how times have changed.”
Doors will be open from 10am to 4pm with museum entry being free and a £1 fee for the hangman exhibition.
