AN INVESTIGATION is ongoing over a theft where four mountain bikes were stolen from a shed in Chelmsford.

At some point between 4pm on December 30 and 8am the following day, thieves forced their way into the communal shed in Viaduct Road by kicking a door open.

The unit is used by residents in the Wells Crescent and Kings Tower apartment blocks for storage.

Crooks then took four bikes which belonged to people who lived in the flats.

The culprits are described as being in their 20s and white.

CCTV images have been released of two men police want to identify as part of their investigations.

Anyone with information is urged to call Chelmsford police station on 101.
