A HAIR and beauty salon in Chelmsford has been shortlisted as one of the friendliest businesses in Britain - and could be made even happier with £10,000.
The Strand in Moulsham Street has made the final 20 in Britain’s Friendliest Business competition run by business finance firm Liberis.
Customers of the shop which went through an refurbishment last May are now being asked to vote for them in the final round of the contest.
Owner Gemma Scott said making the shortlist is a great achievement and marks the hard work put in by her staff.
The 27-year-old said: “It feels really good to be in the final 20 and I am really proud of everyone for getting this far.
“As a team we’ve worked extremely hard and we’ve still got a long way to go, but getting nominated for this award makes it all worthwhile.”

Voting closes today, January 15.
In September, the shop was awarded an Essex Business Excellence Award.
