A WOMAN has won a classic car...after her husband put £10 in a raffle.
Tracey Atkins, 42, from Wickford, was handed over the bright pink, cult vehicle Nissan Figaro thanks to husband Barry entering the raffle at Billericay Christmas market.
The competition had been organised by Billericay Mayflower Rotarians, with the profits from the raffle and the market going towards a new sixth form at Thriftwood School, Galleywood.
Mrs Atkins said: “I was so surprised but delighted to win.
“It was a wedding present that came four months late, but as a Christmas present it came bang on time!
“When I saw it I thought ‘I’m going to win that’.”
The car is an early nineties model but was restored in 2011 and was donated to the rotary club for the raffle from a local family.
