Flat fire in East Hanningfield
AN ADULT and two children had to be treated for smoke inhalation after a flat fire on Thursday night.
Firefighters were called to Abbey Fields in East Hanningfield at about 11.35pm to reports of a blaze in a first floor apartment.
The flames had been extinguished by the time officers arrived but they remained on scene until 12.25am to douse hot spots and clear smoke from the property.
A man and two children, a 14-year-old girl and 11-year-old boy, were treated by paramedics for smoke inhalation.
