OPERATORS of a bus services Chelmsford have made changes to the timings.

First Bus has announced from February 3 alterations will be made to the number 40, 41, 45, 47, 351 and H1/H2/H3 services around the city.

A route extension has been given to the 40 which will see it terminate at Broomfield Hopital rather than Chelmsford bus station, replacing the western section of the H1/H2 route.

The 47 will also replace the eastern section of the H1 and H2 with services from Chelmsford bus station running to the hospital.

The H3 service will continue running at peak times but now as the number 72.

Extra buses will be provided to the 45 between Writtle Green and Chelmsford train station departing at 5.42am and 6.52am.

Timetable changes have been made to the 41 and 351 services with the 41 operating about six minutes later while the 351 will run from Chelmsford five minutes earlier and back to the city from Brentwood three minutes earlier.

Nikki Allder, the company's general manager for North and Mid Essex, said: "These changes should further help improve punctuality on these routes and provide better links to local amenities and shopping centres.

"The majority of changes follow customer feedback, so we welcome any comments from passengers to our customer service team."
