A MAN is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court tomorrow after driving his car into a ditch.

James Tyler, 25, of The Windmills, Broomfield, has been charged with one count of driving while under the influence of alcohol after police found him on Saturday inside his car which had fallen into a ditch just off Church Lane, Little Baddow.

The security guard was arrested at the scene and has been bailed until his court appearance on Christmas Eve.
