A SUPPORTED living home resident has written and recorded a Christmas carol.

Wendy Fagg who lives in Sanctuary Supported Living’s premises in Nickelby Road, Melbourne, has composed the song called Wendy’s Carol.

The 54-year-old who has learning difficulties has previously recorded an album of four songs and decided she wanted to spread festive cheer.

Money raised through the CD and performances of the song will go towards a young persons homeless scheme in Ipswich which is also run by Sanctuary Supported Living.

Miss Fagg was helped in writing and recording the song by staff at her home and Ian Chamberlain at St Andrew’s Church in Chignal Road.

James Grant, Wendy’s project worker, said: “Wendy is a generous, lovely lady who has benefited from support.

“Wendy has worked hard preparing these original pieces of music, especially this season’s Christmas carol, unhindered by her learning disability, and is so impressive.”
