BUILDERS who did their own Movember challenge last month have handed over a cheque for more than £4,800 to a Great Baddow-based charity.
Construction workers from Persimmon Homes’ site in Stanway raised £4,890 in total for the J’s Hospice after growing facial hair over the course of November.
The team had been aiming to raise £1,000 but were ecstatic to have get the outstanding final total.
Frank Simpson, one of the builders, said: “The cause is one that is close to my heart as they help look after my daughter and I can’t thank my colleagues enough for coming together to do this.”
