A BUDGET shop opened it’s doors for the first time to customers in central Chelmsford on Thursday.
The ribbon was cut at Max 99p in Dukes Walk, next to Chelmsford bus station, which sells stock including household, food, drinks, personal care and pet care items for less than a pound.
General manager Dean Saunders said the opening day was a huge success.
Mr Saunders said: “We have received many well wishes from local residents and passers by, and have been overwhelmed with the positive feedback we have had."
