MORE than 500 Father Christmases made an early festive dash for charity in Chelmsford - raising £33,000.
Farleigh Hospice held their sixth annual Santa Fun Run in Central Park on Sunday with 570 runners putting on St Nick’s famous red suit to run 4km.
A total of £33,000 was raised for the hospice based in Broomfield.
Sarah Stoddart, a PR and marketing assistant for the hospice, said: “The atmosphere on Sunday was brilliant from the very start with festive tunes playing as our Santas started to arrive.
“It was so surreal to see a sea of red appearing in the distance as the 570 Santas headed towards our sign in marquees, eager to get started.”
