FENCING, space to store chairs, a playground and building an office will be funded in Chelmsford through Essex County Council grants.
The authority announced today the projects which will have money from a pot worth nearly £1.5million split between them.
In Chelmsford, eight bids were awarded grants including a plan by Great Baddow Parish Council to replace play equipment at a toddlers play area with £3,327 given to them.
Other successful projects include Danbury Parish Council's proposal to replace playground equipment with £20,000 being given.
A grant of £20,000 was also given to the United Benefice of St Mary's church for their scheme to build a new community hall.
