FLORISTRY students put bouquets of flowers around Chelmsford in an attempt to make passers-by cheerier.
The team from the Professional Floristry class at Writtle College created nine bunches of flowers before placing them in different locations in the city such as Hylands Park and Chelmsford Cathedral.
Signs were left on each bouquet offering people the chance to take them away for free with the florists hiding to see if they were picked up.
Antonia Tonking, one of the students, said: “It felt a bit random standing waiting for someone to pick up the bouquet but it was really good fun seeing people’s reactions.
“Most of the bouquets disappeared within 10 minutes.”
