A FOOTBALL from Chelmsford got the chance of a lifetime to score a penalty against a German goalie.
Jared Aransibia, 30, won a competition through cider makers Strongbow which saw him get mentored by England footballing legend Stuart Pearce before taking a spot kick in Berlin’s Olympic Stadium.
Despite having German international Rene Adler standing in his way, Jared slotted home the penalty. His experience being shown in an advert on ITV during half time of the England vs Germany friendly.
Jared said: “I was definitely nervous, it’s a bit different to knocking a ball around with my mates but what an amazing experience.
“I am just relieved I managed to tuck the ball away in the back of the net and earn some bragging rights.”
