A CHEQUE for £2,900 was presented to two schools in Chelmsford for a scheme they run together.

St John Payne Catholic School and Columbus School and College were handed the money by the Chelmsford and District branch of the Fuschia Society.

The funding will go towards the schools, who neighbour each other on Patching Hall Lane, for their Buddy Scheme.
