A doctor who leads the GP group that buys healthcare services for mid Essex has been named one of the country’s most influential GPs.
Dr Lisa Harrod-Rothwell chairs the Mid Essex Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and was recognised by her peers in Pulse Magazine's countdown of top and upcoming GPs.
The magazine’s panel said her nomination was for “overcoming conservative mind-sets to engage colleagues and focus on communities and representing the new breed of ambitious and caring young female sessional GPs.”
She is a sessional GP at Writtle Surgery and the CCG is made up of 50 practices, including those in the Maldon, Braintree and Chelmsford districts.
