A TEENAGE film fan from Chelmsford has interviewed members of One Direction for an education charity.

Laura McAuley, 14, who attends The Boswell’s School, spoke to members of the band about their new film, This Is Us, for the Filmclub charity, which helps schools set up their own movie watching clubs.

Acting as a reporter for the Talent Development programme, Laura went to a preview before her exclusive interview with Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson.

She said: “Seeing a band with such global success in person can be a bit intimidating, so I was very nervous. It was weird to think I would meet some of the most famous people in the world! Luckily we got front row chairs.

“I was more excited. Luckily I didn’t mess up and Harry and Zayn answered.”

The young film fan also spoke to the director of the film, Morgan Spurlock. The video is available to watch on Youtube.

As a member of her school’s film club, Laura was invited to join the programme and interview a number of celebrities.
