Couple's big Kilimanjaro climb
7:10am Saturday 17th August 2013 in News
A COUPLE climbed almost 20,000ft to scale the heights of Mount Kilimanjaro and raise £8,000 for charity.
Darren and Katie Williams, both 45, of Bradford Street, Chelmsford, took part in the challenge in support of Autism Anglia and BEN, the automotive industry charity.
Autism Anglia is close to Darren's heart as his son Grant, 20, is autistic.
He said: “We are absolutely delighted to have made it to the top of Kilimanjaro and to have raised so much for the causes which are so close to our hearts.
“We are both so pleased to have made it, it truly is a once in a lifetime experience.”
