9:47am Wednesday 27th February 2013 in News
ESSEX’S first Police and Crime Commissioner will be answering public questions in Chelmsford on Thursday night.
A meeting with Nick Alston is being staged at King Edwards VI Grammar School, in Broomfield Road, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
People will be able to ask questions about crime issues they have concerning crime and policing in the city.
Speaking ahead of the event, Mr Alston said: “It is important that crime continues to fall in Essex, that we have fewer victims of crime and fewer people living in fear of crime.
“I am committed to the principle of local solutions for local problems, and to ensuring that police, partner agencies, the voluntary sector and residents work together as closely as possible to keep our communities safe.”
Previous meetings have been held in Southend and Basildon.
