6:30am Friday 22nd February 2013 in News
A WOMAN has received a suspended jail sentence for possessing drugs with intent to supply.
A court heard police found cannabis at the home of 21-year old Victoria Dongworth when they searched her flat in Neptune Court, Ridgewell Avenue, Chelmsford.
Dongworth was later seen by officers with a carrier bag containing a number of small bags similar to those used for drug deals.
She admitted possessing 24 grams of cannabis with intent to supply when she appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court for sentence.
Dongworth was jailed for three months, suspended for eight months, and given 12 months supervision. She was also told to take part in the thinking skills programme run by the probation service.
The court heard police found the drugs when they searched Dongworth’s home on September 19 last year.
She told officers she had been selling the drugs for a few weeks before she was arrested, the court heard.
