COMEDIANS helped raise £1,000 for a homeless shelter charity during a special gig in Chelmsford.
Top performers from the world of stand-up comedy came to the Cramphorn Theatre, in Fairfield Road, for a fundraising show organised by Comedy Showcase for Chelmsford CHESS.
On the bill was Norweigan comic Daniel Simonsen, winner of this year’s Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Newcomer, and Danny Bhoy, who has sold out venues around the world with his act.
Andrew Watts, Tony Maresse, Phil Wang and Prince Abdi also performed.
It was the third year Comedy Showcase has held the event to raise money for CHESS, which offers accommodation and support services to the homeless and people in hardship.
