Woman, 80, hit by car

AN ELDERLY woman was injured after being hit by a car outside Great Baddow fire station.
The 80-year-old was knocked down by a silver Vauxhall Astra, in Longmead Avenue, at about 11.05am last Thursday.
Firefighters administered first aid before paramedics arrived to take her to Broomfield Hospital.
A spokesman for East of England Ambulance Service said she was complaining of back pains.
