TWO men are facing a murder trial over the death of another man at a party just yards from the V Festival, in Chelmsford.
A hearing at Chelmsford Crown Court was told on Friday the trial of Clint Spearpoint and Sam Martin is fixed to start on January 21.
Both men are accused of murdering 39-year-old Anton Jardin, from Eastwood Road, Rayleigh.
Mr Jardin was a guest at a party at a house in London Road, Widford, near the scene of the V Festival, when an incident took place in the back garden in the early hours of Sunday, August 19. He died later in hospital.
Spearpoint, 34, of Kelso Close, Rayleigh, is currently on condistional bail.
Martin, 25, of Eastwood Road, Leigh, remains in custody.
