Elderly woman knocked down by car

AN ELDERLY woman was injured after being hit by a car outside Great Baddow fire station.
The 80-year-old was involved in the incident outside the building on Longmead Avenue at about 11.05am on Thursday.
On duty firefighters took the woman inside to administer first aid before paramedics arrived to take her to Broomfield Hospital.
A spokeswoman for East of England Ambulance Service said described her condition as “not seriously injured, conscious and breathing but complaining of back pains”.
