A SURPRISE awaits shoppers who go to a special Christmas concert in Chelmsford city centre.
Choirs from the Salvation Army and churches will be at the High Chelmer Shopping Centre on December 13 singing carols between 6pm and 9pm.
However, a surprise has been lined up to add a bit of extra spice to the event.
Concert organisers are keeping this element secret until the day of the performance, but said it will be an interesting show.
Ralf Cook, a chaplain at the centre, said: “When fellow chaplain Rev Mandy Bishop and I set about organising the concert, we thought it would be good to come up with an idea which would make it stand out a bit.
“Obviously we don’t want to reveal what this is until the day, but I am confident it give the event an extra kick and really bring it to life.”
