V Festival became a festival of lights when darkness fell and Muse took to the stage.

The headline show was a visual spectacle of coloured laser beams, eerie smoke effects and a golden shower finale.

The band, regarded as one of the greatest in the world, turned V Stage into pure theatre.

Dark, quiet periods in between songs built suspense, and the crowd’s appetite for more.

Muse did not muck about – no small talk, no chitchat, just the most mind-blowing gig you could hope to see.

They had the complete focus of the entire stadium, bathed in vibrant greens, reds and blues from massive satellite lights – helping to create a space-age feel to the set.

Much-loved tracks Starlight, Supermassive Black Hole, New Born and Plug In Baby rocked.

By far the most professional, most breathtaking and most unbeatable gig of the day.

When it comes to festivals Muse are the real deal.

They are a band at the top of their game - and V Fest-goers know it.
