A LEGEND from the sixties helped Indie band the Kooks to rock the main stage.
Kinks frontman, Ray Davies, performed with the Brighton four-piece half way through their set on Saturday at V.
They played the Kinks track, Victoria, which was written by Davies and released by the band back in 1969.
It follows another recent partnership between Davies and the Kooks.
The band’s latest album Konk is named after Davies’ London studio where it was recorded.
They opened their hour-long set at Hylands Park with the popular hit single Always Where I Need To Be.
Other highlights of their bouncy performance included Ooh La, She Moves In Her Own Way and You Don’t Love Me.
Yet the biggest cheers from the crowd were saved for chart topping hit single Naïve, and recent release Shine On.
Meanwhile dedicated fans showed their appreciation for the band’s final choice Sofa Song.
