It may have only been early afternoon but Welsh rockers Lostprophets turned V Stage into a mass of jumping bodies.

Front man Ian Watkins, wearing an open black shirt and plenty of chains, sarcastically told crowds “it’s not Alanis Morissette but we do all we can.”

If the audience’s reaction to the band’s classic tracks Last Train Home, Last Summer and Rooftops (A Liberation Broadcast) were anything to go by they did pretty well.

The anthems were received by hands clapping in unison, singing along and wild dancing.

One half-naked reveller, covered in paint, maybe got a little too excited as he stood on his friend’s shoulders, cheered on by surrounding festival-goers.

The six-piece also entertained fans with their new song Streets of Nowhere from their new album, set to be released next year.

Lostprophets are favourites to take away Best British Band at the 2008 Kerrang! Awards, for a third time running.
