Scarlett Moffatt’s jungle victory was watched by 10.5 million viewers on Sunday night – but rival Strictly Come Dancing was still the biggest show on TV.

The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! final peaked with 11.4 million viewers and averaged 10.5 million.

It won 800,000 more fans than last year, when Vicky Pattison was crowned Queen of the Jungle. The 2015 final attracted 9.7 million and peaked with 10.6 million.

ITV said this year’s final was the most-watched since 2013, when an average of 10.9 million and a peak of almost 12 million tuned in to see former Westlife star Kian Egan win.

But Strictly Come Dancing – The Results, which was screened earlier in the evening, was the UK’s most-watched TV show on Sunday.

The BBC One programme, which saw Judge Rinder leave the competition, averaged 10.7 million viewers and had a peak of 11.7 million.

Back on ITV, The X Factor was watched by 6.3 million viewers and peaked with 7.4 million on Sunday.

Scarlett, 26, a front-runner for the I’m A Celebrity crown since early in the series, looked stunned as presenters Ant and Dec said she had beaten comedian Joel Dommett to the crown.
