Every year Glastonbury hosts an array of impressive acts for us to feast our eyes on, some mildly more famous than others.

While the Pyramid Stage may be the place to be, what with Kanye West, Lionel Richie and Pharrell Williams, there’s a helluva lot more musicians who can put on just as good a show if not better than Mr West’s.

Yes, there is more to Glastonbury than the Pyramid Stage… and here are 6 incredible performers from the final day of the festival that proved just that.

1. Charli XCX

The 22-year-old graced the John Peel Stage to perform some of her well-loved hits such as Boom Clap, I Love It and Fancy. Despite her questionable school girl outfit, she owned the stage (and the audience) with an incredible set which included a giant rubber guitar.

2. Belle and Sebastian

11 years after they last played at Glastonbury, Belle and Sebastian returned to the Other Stage, much to the delight of a ram-packed audience. At one point during their performance, they invited a hoard of fans on stage to boogie away, making us only wish we’d been there.

3. Death Cab For Cutie

After releasing eight albums over a span of 18 years, some people may have questioned what Death Cab For Cutie had left to offer. Well they sure proved cynics wrong with their incredible John Peel set, performing some of their greatest hits including Soul Meets Body and You Are Tourist.

4. FKA Twigs

The hotly-anticipated FKA Twigs didn’t let fans down delivering a slice of her eccentric pie. The crowds were mesmerised by her ethereal voice (and unexpected dance moves) proving the 27-year-old absolutely nailed her first ever appearance on West Holts stage.

5. Jamie T

Jamie T gave the crowds a welcomed surprise when he waltzed on to the Other Stage with none other than The Maccabbees to open the set with The Man’s Machine.

Despite his nerves, he even managed to slip in a hilarious Kanye reference – props to that!

6. FFS (Franz Ferdinand & Sparks)

The newly-formed supergroup closed the John Peel Stage, delivering a nostalgic dose of our teen years. Despite only revealing themselves as FFS earlier this year, the two bands have been working on their music behind the scenes for a DECADE. And their performance confirmed good things definitely comes to those who wait.
