THE bright lights of London are beckoning for a Bury dancer who is to make her professional debut in the West End.

Eliza Hart, 19, is making her professional stage debut on the West End this month.

Eliza, pictured, a former pupil of St Gabriel’s High School has clinched a spot in the cast of Thriller Live! — the story charting the Jackson 5 and the solo work of Michael Jackson, at the capital’s Lyric Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue.

As a youngster Eliza was a student of teacher Jo Bernstein at Class Act dancing school in Prestwich.

In May 2014, Eliza, who at the time was at her local dance school Freakdance in Radcliffe, was spotted as a talented dancer by artistic director and choreographer Ben Davies of Addict Dance Academy in Leicester, who signed her on to a four-year course, which included a BTEC, in which she achieved a triple distinction of an extended diploma in dance.

Proud mum Kathryn said: “From day one Eliza had a natural something and even people that watched her when she was first dancing in Prestwich, said she had a talent that they wanted to watch over and over again.”“To clinch an 18-month contract in the West End is incredible and we are all very proud of her.”Her youngest sister Imogen 16, who is studying at Pendleton Sixth Form College, has also shown promise but as a singer.Mum added: “Eliza is proud and excited to be joining the new cast of Thriller Live. She is currently hard at work in rehearsals for the show which will feature the new cast from the end of this month.”
