The big picture: Latest action adventure from Quentin Tarantino, set in Nazi occupied France. Having witnessed the execution of her family, Shosanna (Melanie Laurent) flees to Paris where she forges a new identity running a cinema. Meanwhile, a group of Jewish American soldiers led by Lt. Raine (Brad Pitt) performs shocking acts of retribution. Called 'the basterds' by their enemy, Raine's squad joins undercover agent Bridget (Diane Kruger) on a mission to take down the leaders of the Third Reich.
