Another hit movie, another video game tie-in. It makes sense, but the game had better be good or it will one day bring the whole entertainment industry down. Well, maybe not that dramatic, but Ironman thankfully is pretty decent.

Robert Downey Jnr plays the weapons expert on the big screen with jet engines in his heels and a wisecrack at every turn. But as the box says, this game goes beyond what you will see on screen, which is nice. You can take on enemies in the air using those boots, and naturally enough, on the ground too. Brilliant.

Tanks, jets, mosquitoes, they are all fair game. I may have made the last one up. Junior is in the game too with those clever comments but it's still not perfectly clear whose side he is on. Pretty much his own really.

Marvel is raking in a fortune with these old comic book heroes, and good luck to them. Just about the entire catalogue of villains and heroes must be in line for celluloid stardom plus a few more I would think.

Hard to kill a cash cow, and so long as they make their games as good as this one, long may it continue.

This is one of those go anywhere games and do anything with just the occasional mission to perform if that's the way you want to do it.

Good fun, clever plots, and of course Downey's charismatic voice makes Ironman full of metal.
