A milkshake company that saw its best sales to date in 2014 is now looking to export its products.
Shaken Udder, based in Tolleshunt Major and established ten years ago by Jodie Farran and Andrew Howie, makes natural milkshakes and supplies to Waitrose, Sainsbury’s and Tesco. It recently launched its children’s range.
Sales of the milkshakes outside of the big retailers grew by 62 per cent, while sales at Tesco grew 24 per cent and overall sales by 10.6 per cent.
Ms Farran, said: “Building our business from scratch over the last ten years has been massively challenging, rewarding and we have learnt so much.
“We have just got involved with UK Trade and Investment to help us get a 12 month export plan in place. We will be targeting Europe and currently have a lot of incoming inquiries from China, Dubia and Saudi Arabia.”
