A DAZZLING display of colours brightened up the streets of Southend during a huge annual charity walk.
Saturday’s third annual Moonlight Colourthon, organised by Southend Round Table, was a huge success, with nearly 1,200 people – including Strictly Come Dancing star Mark Foster – strolling the distance of a half marathon at night.
Earlier in the day, 108 youngsters took part in the Sunlight Colourthon, completing multiple laps of a course in Chalkwell Park, Westcliff, to raise £7,000.
The main event was between 8pm and midnight, and set walkers on a 13.5-mile course around the streets of Southend and along the seafront.
Olympic swimmer and Strictly contestant Mark Foster was among the walkers.
The total amount raised by the day’s activities is expected to top £134,000.
