CARDY Irene Margaret "Rene" on 18th July 2013 at her home in Maldon, Aged 83 years. A dearly loved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, who will be deeply missed. Funeral Service will take place on Monday 5th August at St Mary's Church, Maldon at 12 noon, followed by interment in Maldon Cemetery. Thank you for your kind words Maureen. Mum loved the shop; my favourite time was when we served the local families with their groceries and the school children with their daily sweets for school shop time, no self service in those days- some great memories and lovely customers.

I have fond memories of Rene's shop in Maldon; buying sweets on the way to school and (when older) choosing a new top from her upstairs clothing section for the Saturday Disco! She was a good friend to my mum Sylvia.
